Working in Partnership with Parents and Carers
At Lift Bexleyheath, we deeply value the strong relationships we build with our parents and carers, as we believe that genuine partnership is key to ensuring every child is happy, supported, and successful every day. By working together with mutual respect and understanding, we can create the best possible environment for our students to thrive both academically and personally.
We recognise that from time to time, parents and carers may need to speak with a member of staff. While we always aim to make time to meet and make calls with families and address concerns, we kindly ask that parents and carers do not come to the school site expecting to meet with staff without a pre-arranged appointment, unless it is an emergency. This helps us ensure that staff are available, prepared, and able to provide the best possible support.
To maintain a positive and respectful school community, we ask all parents and carers to follow these expectations when communicating or visiting the school:
• Treat all staff, students, and other parents/carers with kindness and respect.
• Communicate calmly and courteously, whether in person, by phone, or in writing.
• Work collaboratively with staff to resolve concerns constructively.
• Refrain from using rude, aggressive, or threatening language or behaviour at any time.
• Set a positive example for our students through respectful interactions.
We are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. Please note that rude or aggressive behaviour towards staff, students, or members of our community will not be tolerated and may result in parents or carers being banned from the school site. Together, we can continue to build a strong and supportive partnership focused on every child’s success and wellbeing.
