A level Mathematics offers the opportunity to study topics such as geometry, calculus, and trigonometry (pure mathematics) and to use these ideas within the 'applied' topics such as mechanics and statistics. It secures knowledge and confidence for future tasks like working out how to pay off student debts, choosing cost-effective mortgages, and making sensible investments.
